The Foo Fighters have officially announced that they are going to perform two shows in honor of deceased drummer Taylor Hawkins. The first of which will take place in London on September 3rd. The second occurring in Las Angeles on September 27th. The 50-year-old Hawkins was discovered dead in his hotel room just prior to a performance on the 25th of March. Dave Grohl an original Founder and previous drummer for the band will participate in both concerts.

The widow of Taylor Hawkins, Alison Hawkins was touched deeply by this and even made a statement on Twitter, “My deepest thanks and admiration go out to the global Foo Fighters community and Taylor’s fans far and wide for the outpouring of love each and every one of you have shown our beloved Taylor.” Hawkins passed away  on March 25th, Toxicology reports showed a mix of drugs in his system, something many musicians fall victim to. Just last year The Foo Fighters celebrated their 25 year anniversary showing just how influential they are. Being a drummer for such an iconic alternative rock band, Hawkins was known for his on stage energy and was heavily driven by legends like Phil Collins and Queen’s Roger Taylor.
