Ryan Keeler, a University of las Vegas defensive lineman, passed away on Monday, February 20th. The university confirmed his death through Instagram writing, “UNLV mourns the passing of Football student-athlete Ryan Keeler.” A cause of death has not yet been released, his death was initially reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Keeler transferred from Rutgers last season, and was a sophomore at UNLV. At 6 foot six inches, 275 pounds, Keeler played in two games for the Rebels, accumulating eight tackles and one sack in that time.
Running back, Aidan Robbins offered condolences via social media saying, “Long Live 47, God rest your beautiful soul… love you 4L [for life] boy.”
Keeler came from Nazareth Academy in Chicago for his high school days.
