SZA Spoke Up For Angela Bassett Over Her Oscar Snubs

SZA recently spoke about Angela Bassett who wa sonce again snubbed at the Oscars on Sunday, March 12th. SZA tweeted prior to the Oscars, “Realizing Angela Basset [sic] doesn’t already have an Oscar make me wanna knock sh-t over.” This year Bassett was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but still went home with nothing.

The actress was nominated for Best Actress at the 1993 Oscars for playing Tina Turner in What’s Love Got to Do With It, but she lost to The Piano’s Holly Hunter. While her last Oscars loss was to Jamie Lee Curtis who was in the film Everything Everywhere All At Once.

SZA in the meantime is in the middle of her SOS Tour, which recently brought out Cardi B and Phoebe Bridgers to perform along with her at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
