This April, the Hollywood Bowl will host a star-studded event, “Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett,” to honor the legacy of the beloved musician. Scheduled for April 11, the concert will feature an impressive array of artists, including Paul McCartney, the Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, Zac Brown, and many more. This gathering of music legends aims to celebrate Buffett’s enduring spirit and contributions to music and culture.
Jimmy Buffett, who passed away on September 1 at the age of 76 after a battle with Merkel cell skin cancer, left behind a rich musical legacy and a legion of fans known as ParrotHeads. Over his 50-year career, Buffett’s songs like “Margaritaville” and “Come Monday” became anthems of relaxation and enjoyment. Moreover, his business ventures extended his influence beyond music into restaurants, hotels, and even Broadway.
The tribute concert will also see performances by Jackson Browne, Brandi Carlile, Kenny Chesney, and many others, promising a night of celebration and remembrance. Tickets for the event will be available for sale, with a presale for American Express cardholders. Buffett’s final album, “Equal Strain on All Parts,” featuring collaborations with McCartney, Emmylou Harris, and Angélique Kidjo, serves as a testament to his lasting impact on the music world.
