Smokey Robinson Has Released A New Track “How You Make Me Feel”

Smokey Robinson recently released a new song, “How You Make Me Feel,” the second single from his upcoming album, Gasms. In the track, he sings of how he fell in love with his partner and how their love makes him feel safe and secure.

On the track he sings, “You make me feel like everything’s okay, every day / You make me feel like everything’s alright, every night / I’m addicted to you / Nothing about me is restricted to you / I can’t wait to see what you’re fixing to do,”

The new track comes a month after Robinson’s lead single, “If We Don’t Have Each Other.” At a press conference, he explained why he chose the track to be the first sample of his new music.

Robinson stated, “I chose this song as the first single of my new album because it’s different musically and has a slide dance feeling to it… which is different from what I’ve ever done before, It also has a current rhythm of today that I love, and I hope everyone else does too.”

Gasms will mark Robinson’s first album since 2009’s Time Flies When You’re Having Fun. The upcoming album, Gasms, is set to arrive on April 28th through TLR Music Group/ ADA Worldwide. It will contain nine tracks in total, including the already mentioned two from above.

Earlier on this year, Robinson was celebrated at the 2023 MusiCares Persons of the Year gala along with Motown founder Berry Gordy. Robinson also has several concerts scheduled, with many of them occurring in April.
