Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has obtained a temporary restraining order against a man she says repeatedly targeted her and attempted to enter her Los Angeles area home, according to court records.
The legal action follows a series of incidents that reportedly began in April and intensified over several weeks. Carpenter alleges that the man engaged in repeated surveillance and trespassing behavior near her residence, creating growing concern for her safety and peace of mind.
One of the most serious incidents allegedly occurred in late May when the man approached Carpenter’s home and attempted to gain entry. Security personnel intervened, and law enforcement was later called to the scene. Authorities subsequently arrested the individual on suspicion of trespassing.
In court documents, Carpenter described the situation as deeply distressing and said the repeated encounters left her fearful about what could happen if stronger legal protections were not put in place. She also disputed claims that the man knew her personally, characterizing those assertions as completely false.
The temporary restraining order requires the man to stay a significant distance away from Carpenter, her residence, and family members who live with her. Law enforcement officials involved in the case noted that the reported behavior displayed characteristics often associated with obsessive stalking cases and warned that such situations can escalate if left unchecked.
