PJ Morton and Susan Carol Performed Track, “Good Morning,” on “The Jennifer Hudson Show”

Grammy winning singer PJ Morton recently performed a The Jennifer Hudson Show, his latest single, “Good Morning” with Susan Carol. Morton was behind a piano singing his verses dressed in a red double breasted suit and a beanie. Meanwhile, Carol had on a ruffled gold top, standing behind a microphone as she sang away.

Morton also had a sit down with Hudson, talking about topics such as joining Maroon 5 to admitting he doesn’t know how to read music.

“Good Morning” marks the first new track from Morton this year and was released after Morton attended the 65th Grammy Awards. At those awards, Morton was nominated for three awards, Best R&B Album (Watch The Sun), Best R&B Song (“Please Don’t Walk Away”) and Best Gospel Performance/Song (“The Better Benediction”).

Morton’s last album, Watch The Sun was released last Spring through his imprint Morton Records in collaboration with EMPIRE. The standard edition of the album included features from Nas, Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, El DeBarge, Alex Isley, and many others.

Morton is also set up for many more performances throughout this year. On April 29th, Morton will be performing at the Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz Rhythm & Blues Festival located in Las Vegas, Nevada. While also being scheduled for two other spring festivals so far, Beale Street Music Festival and the Governors Ball Music Festival.
