If you missed picking up your free doughnut at Krispy Kreme for National Doughnut Day last week, don’t worry: the chain is also giving everyone ample opportunities to score free doughnuts every day, all summer long.
From now until Labor Day, the brand is offering what they’re calling their “Sweet New Deal,” a chance to score free doughnuts literally every day this summer. Anytime a shop has turned on its Hot Light — which signals that fresh doughnuts are rolling off the glazer — anyone can score a free Original Glazed doughnut, again, with no purchase necessary.
Krispy Kreme even gives you the scoop on when these Hot Lights are on: The info is posted on the chain’s website. Granted, hours vary by location and not all locations have Hot Light hours posted, but many have their Hot Light turned on for several hours twice a day. And the chain says customers can download the Krispy Kreme app for Hot Light alerts.
Finally, Krispy Kreme is also bringing back their Beat the Pump promotion where every Wednesday from now until the end of August, the price of an Original Glazed dozen will be lowered to match the national average of one gallon of regular gasoline from the previous Monday. (AAA says the national average is currently at $4.76).
“We love our tradition of giving fans any doughnut they want on National Doughnut Day,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief marketing officer, stated. “But with inflation on gas prices and everything else showing no signs of easing, we hope to brighten everyone’s day, every day, this summer with our Sweet New Deal, whether it’s stopping by to grab a free hot, fresh Original Glazed doughnut for yourself or picking up a dozen on Wednesdays for the same price as a gallon of gas.”
