By now, just about everyone knows Drake is from Toronto. We’ve seen him at many professional games there and has made mention of Canada in the past. Well, over the weekend he was handed the key to Toronto after the game! The NBA All Star Festivities occurred in his hometown over the weekend, ranging with events like the Slam Dunk Contest, the Celebrity All-Star Game, and the NBA All-Star Game.
Drake was the head coach of Team Canada during the event, beating Kevin Hart and Team USA by a score of 74 to 63. When the game concluded, he was handed the key to Toronto by the Mayor, John Terry.
It should come as no surprise that Drake was seen throughout the entire showing of the All-Star festivities, being such a huge hometown name as well as big fixture in sports due to his music.
