Dave Grohl Pokes Fun at Taylor Swift During Foo Fighters Concert in London

At the Foo Fighters’ London Stadium concert on Saturday night, frontman Dave Grohl delivered a playful jab at Taylor Swift while on stage. Swift, whose Eras Tour was simultaneously taking place at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, became the subject of Grohl’s cheeky remarks.

Grohl, addressing the massive crowd, began by acknowledging Swift’s nearby performance, saying, “I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.” He humorously dubbed the Foo Fighters’ own series of concerts the “Errors Tour,” playing on the similarity to Swift’s “Eras Tour” and admitting, “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple.”

The rock legend then appeared to imply that Swift might not always perform live, in contrast to the Foo Fighters’ commitment to raw, live performances. “That’s because we actually play live. What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place,” Grohl declared, to the cheers of the audience.

Despite the good-natured ribbing, Grohl has previously expressed admiration for Swift. At the BBC Radio Big 1 Weekend in 2015, he even dedicated the Foo Fighters’ song “Congregation” to her. “I’m officially obsessed. She might want to get a restraining order because I’m all about Swift,” he said at the time, humorously referring to Swift as “Taylor and the Swifts.”

Meanwhile, Swift’s Eras Tour continues to captivate fans across the globe. During her first London show on Friday night, she delighted the crowd by taking a selfie with Prince William, who was celebrating his 42nd birthday at the concert along with his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

As both Grohl and Swift wrap up their respective tours, fans can look forward to more electrifying performances from these musical titans. Grohl’s light-hearted jibe at Swift serves as a reminder of the friendly rivalry and mutual respect that often exists among music’s biggest stars.
