It’s now easier than ever to have your cake and eat it too. Costco’s custom cakes are a staple, and now, for the first time ever, they are available for delivery.
As Delish reports, thanks to its partnership with Instacart, Costco has announced that customers can order custom cakes, as well as party platters, via the delivery platform and online via sameday.costco.com nationwide.
This marks the first time the warehouse’s famous cakes will be available for delivery straight to your doorstep. The new delivery options include the store’s custom sheet cakes, 10-inch round cakes, sandwiches, fruit, shrimp platters, and more. Customers can fully customize their cakes and order them, as well as the party platters, with a 72-hour lead time.
Although Costco and Instacart have partnered since 2017, offering same-day delivery through their Instacart Marketplace, this elevated offering takes things up a notch in the bakery and deli departments. “We’re proud to bring Costco’s beloved made-to-order bakery and deli to sameday.costco.com and the Instacart marketplace—making delivery available for the first time and giving members even more ways to order for life’s biggest celebrations,” Ryan Hamburger, chief commercial officer at Instacart, said in a press release.
So that means you can get everything from the Cherry Almond Coffee Cake to the Chocolate Hazelnut Beignets without ever stepping foot outside your door. Consider that membership officially worth it.
