Monday night was an incredible night for basketball, as the NBA playoffs moved forward with two powerful matchups.
The Boston Celtics have officially become a threat to the Milwaukee Bucks’ hopes to repeat their championship, as Boston has tied the series 2-2 with Milwaukee. The Celtics’ 116-108 victory over the Bucks last night happened strictly because of Al Horford’s career night for Boston. Horford scored 30 points and had eight rebounds, as he aggressively dominated the Bucks the entire evening. The Celtics were also helped by shooting forward Jayson Tatum who had 30 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists. With the series knotted up at 2-2, Game 5 will tip-off on Wednesday, May 11th at 4 pm PST.
The other thrilling game from last night included the Golden State Warriors defeating the Memphis Grizzlies, 101-98. With the victory last night, Golden State takes a commanding 3-1 lead in the Western Semifinals matchup. The Warriors were once again led by star point guard Steph Curry, who scored 32 points and dished out 8 assists. The Grizzlies were without superstar point guard Ja Morant, making it incredibly difficult for Memphis to keep up with the Warrior’s fast-paced offense. The Warriors will look to close out the series in Game 5, which starts at 6:30 pm on May 11th.
