Travis Scott to Perform at Billboard Music Awards 6 Months After Astroworld Tragedy

Travis Scott will be performing on television for the first time since the Astroworld tragedy six months ago when 10 concertgoers died during a massive crowd surge.

Scott will be taking the stage at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards this coming Sunday, which is exactly one week following the rapper’s first show since taking his extended break from live performances. Scott has, in addition, performed at private events throughout Southern California since the tragedy.

Scott is also slated to headline the Primavera Sound festival this November, as well as more concerts over the summer.

The 2022 Billboard Music Awards will be hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs and will be taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 15.
