Tom Morello Announces First Solo Album in Five Years

Tom Morello is preparing to open a new chapter in his solo career with the release of Everyone Gets Everything They Want, an album that blends his signature guitar work with the socially conscious message that has defined much of his career.

Leading the project is the new single, “Date Night,” a song inspired by the real-life actions of three Dutch teenagers who fought against Nazi occupation during World War II. Morello says the track continues his tradition of writing music that confronts racism and fascism while encouraging listeners to reflect on where they stand.

The upcoming album features an eclectic lineup of collaborators, including System of a Down vocalist Serj Tankian, Morello’s son Roman Morello, Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap, and hard rock band Beartooth. Their contributions highlight the guitarist’s willingness to bridge generations and musical styles while staying rooted in powerful rock music.

The release will be Morello’s first full solo album in five years and arrives as he expands his live schedule with a series of North American performances. Fans can also expect to see him headline the first Power to the People Festival, an event that combines music with social activism and features an impressive lineup of fellow artists.

With a new album, high-profile collaborations, and an ambitious touring schedule, Morello is once again demonstrating that his music remains as focused on meaningful messages as it is on electrifying guitar performances.
