Mastodon Unleash 2026 North American Tour With Deafheaven and Alcest

Mastodon are heading back on the road in a major way, unveiling a sprawling North American tour for fall 2026 that pairs the progressive metal veterans with two of the most acclaimed names in modern blackgaze, Deafheaven and Alcest.

The newly announced Poisonous Weapons Tour arrives at a significant moment for the Atlanta-based band. Fresh off the release of their latest single, “Your Ghost Again,” Mastodon are entering a new chapter while continuing to build on a career that has made them one of heavy music’s most respected and influential acts.

The tour will launch September 16 in Orlando before making its way through dozens of cities across the United States and Canada. Stops include major markets such as Philadelphia, Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta, and Toronto before the run concludes in Texas on October 24.

For fans of atmospheric and boundary-pushing heavy music, the supporting lineup adds even more excitement. Deafheaven have spent the last decade redefining the relationship between black metal intensity and shoegaze textures, while France’s Alcest remain one of the genre’s most influential and pioneering acts. Together, the three bands offer a package that spans progressive metal, post-metal, blackgaze, and expansive melodic soundscapes.

The announcement has generated immediate enthusiasm across the metal community, with many concertgoers praising the combination as one of the strongest touring bills announced this year. The tour also provides an opportunity for Mastodon to showcase new material alongside the extensive catalog that has helped establish the group as a modern metal institution.

Tickets are expected to be in high demand when sales begin June 5, as fans prepare for a coast-to-coast celebration of some of heavy music’s most adventurous and acclaimed artists.
