STARZ announced on Monday, January 30th, that 50 Cent’s spinoff series Power Book II: Ghost was renewed for a fourth season. They also stated that Michael Ealy will be a series regular starting in season four, that is currently being produced in New York. Ealy shall play the part of Detective Don Carter, an NYPD officer becoming a Police Commissioner until his wife’s murder via drug gangs. Carter then goes on to lead an NYPD drug task force.
Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming for Starz stated, “Power Book II: Ghost continues to resonate with our viewers and we’re thrilled to get season four production underway ahead of our season three debut, It’s clear our fans are ready to devour more of this explosive series and we look forward to having Michael join our incredible cast.”
50 Cent celebrated via a tweet that reads, “Season 3 on the way, BOOM, GLG, GreenLightGang.”
Meanwhile, 50 Cent stated back in January that one of his future projects will be an 8 Mile TV series to further Eminem’s legacy, although details are hard to come by.
