While the Golden Globes will be taking place this weekend, following a controversial rollercoaster of changes including being dropped by NBC and having no celebrity presenters or red carpet, the show will now be held as a private event.
“This year’s event is going to be a private event and will not be livestreamed,” an HFPA spokesperson revealed. “We will be providing real-time updates on winners on the Golden Globes website and our social media.”
According to the update, full results from Sunday will reportedly be announced via a press release after the 90-minute ceremony is over.
