Zac Efron, a defining icon of a generation, was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the age of 36, he marks his induction as the 2,767th entertainment figure to receive this prestigious recognition. During the ceremony in Los Angeles, Efron paid a heartfelt tribute to his late co-star Matthew Perry, who passed away in October at 54. Reflecting on their work in 2009’s “17 Again,” Efron expressed gratitude for Perry’s kindness and the significant influence he had on his career trajectory.
Jeremy Allen White and Sean Durkin, collaborators from Efron’s latest movie “The Iron Claw,” along with his close friend Miles Teller, praised Efron’s contributions to the industry. Teller, specifically, highlighted Efron’s status as a superstar from their generation.
Efron, open to exploring diverse roles, expressed his willingness to potentially portray Perry in a future biopic, acknowledging the late actor’s impact on his comedic skills and career development. “17 Again” marked a pivotal moment for Efron, transitioning him from his “High School Musical” fame to more mature roles. His upcoming movie “The Iron Claw” is set for release on December 22.
