Singer-songwriter-actor Troye Sivan is officially entering the beauty sphere as he adds another hyphenate to his resume: YSL Beauty Ambassador. Last Thursday, Sivan was announced as the latest ambassador for YSL Beauty – the makeup, skincare, and fragrances subdivision within the luxury brand Yves Saint Laurent.
The “Angel Baby” singer wrote on Instagram: “Your boy is a [YSL Beauty] boy!! I have such a real love for these products – skin that still looks like skin while putting the biggest pep in your step. Proud to join the family.”
Besides Sivan, Pose star Indya Moore is also considered a “muse” of YSL Beauty. Meanwhile, the company’s “Vibe With Pride” campaign has included DJ and music producer Kittens alongside DJ and model Agathe Mougin.
YSL Beauty also took to Instagram to formally announce the “Bloom” singer as its latest brand ambassador. The caption read: “All eyes are set on the latest U.S. ambassador to join YSL Beauty. Drumroll please, let us introduce you to [Troye Sivan].”
In the post, YSL Beauty also included the list of products that one would need to achieve Sivan’s promo look. Despite being born in South Africa and growing up in Australia, the popstar is a part of this U.S. campaign for Yves Saint Laurent. In his first campaign imagery, Sivan promotes the new Nu Lip & Cheek Balmy Tint.
Needless to say, fans are ecstatic to see the Three Months actor landing such a huge partnership with a major fashion brand. “YSL Beauty has long drawn inspiration from the world of music & artistry, humming to the cultural beat,” Laetitia Raoust, U.S. General Manager, said in a statement. “Sivan’s empowered youth and individuality inspires us on the continuation of that path.” The announcement comes during Pride Month, a time where the brand says it’s aiming to “encourage its community to manifest and celebrate who they are, louder than ever before – to never stand for being defined, defied, or denied.”
