Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle had a wonderful weekend, pulling in an estimated $21 million, and over $320 million in full exposure. The surprise films of the weekend are ’12 Strong’ the post 911 military film, pulling in nearly $17 million in its debut, along with ‘Den of Thieves’ which commanded just under $16 million its first week.
Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Post’ came in fourth over the weekend, with an estimated $12 million for the weekend. The Greatest Showman , Paddington 2 which had a jump in the weekend ranking, Liam Neeson’s ‘The Commuter had a terrific weekend, earning just under $7 million, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Insidious: The Last Key, Forever My Girl, Proud Mary, Phantom Thread and Pitch Perfect 3 rounded out our weekend review.
