The biggest and brightest stars of country were on full display last night in Nashville for the annual CMT Awards, with Blake Shelton (earning video and male video of the year) and Carrie Underwood (female video of the year) taking home the biggest honors. The night meant a great deal to Carrie, let’s call it her comeback, after a horrific fall last November that generated 40+ stiches to her face. The night’s award was her 18th CMT honor.
Although nearbye Atlanta resident Ludacris couldn’t be at the show, the Backstreet Boys were on hand, performing then earning an award; yes, the Backstreet Boys are back and even country music fans love them. Little Big GTown did a terrific job hosting the show, keeping everything moving from start to finish.
