Last night the NBC network aried the live broadcast of the 2018 Emmy Awards show, hosted by ‘SNL’ stars Colin Jost and Michael Che. No one could have pedicted 30 years ago that two ‘non-traditional’ platforms, HBO and Netflix would dominate the Emmy’s, each winning 23 times. Our hearts go out to ‘Happy Days’ actor turned producer Henry Winkler, winning his very 1st Emmy for ‘Barry’ from HBO. Nominee turned winner (Emmy for outstanding directing for a variety special) Glenn Weiss proposed to his girlfriend on live television (she said yes) stealing the show.
