Just yesterday we spoke on different players we thought we would be traded but we didn’t touch on Zach Britton. Well, we should have because he was traded last night to the Yankees for three prospects.
Britton was the closer of the Orioles, who are over 40 games back of first place in the AL East. Considering the trajectory of Baltimore, this trade made a lot of sense. They receive three pitchers in the deal, led by Dillon Tate, a well-thought-of right-handed pitcher.
Now, this gives the Yankees a bullpen that looks dominant with Britton adding to a stacked group of players that include Aroldis Chapman, Dellin Betances, Chad Green and David Robertson among others.
