Comscore’s Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, “the box-office is off to a strong start in early 2020, with the second weekend of the year up 12 percent versus the comparable timeframe a year ago. The rise is powered by the expansion of multiple-OscarĀ® nominee “1917” and a host of strong 2019 holdovers that has driven YTD revenue to an advantage of 8 percent over last year at this point.”
