Police in Los Angeles arrested a woman after gunfire erupted outside the home of global music star and entrepreneur Rihanna in the Beverly Hills area Sunday afternoon.
Authorities responded to reports of shots fired around 1:15 p.m. near the singer’s gated residence. According to police, several rounds were fired from a vehicle positioned across the street from the property, striking the exterior gate and nearby structures. Investigators later documented visible bullet damage on the gate and surrounding areas.
Despite the alarming incident, no injuries were reported.
Officers detained a 35-year-old woman in connection with the shooting and recovered a weapon during the investigation. The suspect was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and is being held on bail of approximately $10 million while the case is reviewed by the district attorney’s office.
Law enforcement officials have not yet confirmed whether the suspect had any known relationship with Rihanna or a motive for the attack. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Early reports left uncertainty about whether Rihanna was inside the residence when the shots were fired. Later information indicated she may have been present at the time, though authorities have not released further details about who else might have been at the home.
The incident marks another security scare connected to the superstar, who has previously faced an intrusion at a different property several years ago.
Rihanna remains one of the most influential figures in modern entertainment and business. The Grammy-winning artist has built a global brand that spans music, fashion, beauty, and philanthropy. She and rapper A$AP Rocky recently welcomed their third child, adding another milestone to a high-profile career that continues to shape pop culture worldwide.
Authorities say the investigation remains active as detectives work to determine why the suspect allegedly opened fire near the property.
