Eddie Van Halen’s son is following in his father’s footsteps by honing his craft in the music business by finishing his debut LP, due out later this summer. Wolfgang Van Halen has been in the studio leveraging his dad’s friendships with Slash and others to offer the world his songs, described as a blend of AC/DC and Van Halen.
Wolfgang has been releasing audio clips of what will appear on the upcoming album, and the initial reaction by friends and family have been very positive. You may remember that his mother is actress Valerie Bertinelli, born in 1997. His nephew is Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen, brother of Eddie. Wolfgang has been touring with the latest version of Van Halen, proving he’s got real talent with the guitar. Wolfgang has played on the last two Vah Halen albums, but his yet to be named solo LP will very likely earn him a whole new audience.
