Wiz Khalifa Embraces Authenticity, Even at Son’s School Functions

Wiz Khalifa, renowned for his hit “Roll Up,” is known not just for his music but also for his unapologetic embrace of cannabis as a lifestyle. In a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Khalifa spoke candidly with host Alex Cooper about how integral marijuana is to his identity, even to the extent of attending his son Sebastian’s school events while high.

Khalifa, much like celebrities Snoop Dogg and Seth Rogan, views smoking weed as a way of life. When asked if he attends his 10-year-old son’s parent-teacher conferences under the influence, his response was unequivocal: “Hell yeah. I’m pulling up stoned. They expect it.” He went on to explain that society’s perception of parenting has evolved, and smoking weed no longer equates to being a bad parent.

His approach to parenthood is about being genuine. “I’m pulling up stoned, I’m pulling up high because I want them to connect with the real me,” Khalifa explained. He stressed the importance of not conforming to a fabricated parental ideal but rather being true to himself in all settings, regardless of societal expectations.

While his straightforwardness about not being able to discern if his son smells like weed might raise eyebrows, it’s a testament to his commitment to authenticity. Khalifa, who co-parents Sebastian with his ex-wife Amber Rose, describes their dynamic as positive and evolving into a more enjoyable experience over time.

Rose, speaking on Tamron Hall’s talk show, echoed this sentiment, highlighting their strong friendship and effective co-parenting. Khalifa’s approach to parenting, while controversial to some, underscores his belief in being present and genuine in his son’s life, a principle he holds dear.
