Wheeler Walker Jr. has been removed from the Country Music Hall of Fame for protesting the new Florida Georgia Line exhibit.
The country singer took to the Hall with a picket sign reading “FGL does not belong here,” calling for Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard to be removed from the venue. Walker said that Florida Georgia line is “pop” and not “country.”
“My American rights…Florida Georgia Line does not belong here,” he screamed on the steps of the museum, telling tourists to go home. “They have a Florida Georgia Line exhibit, man, it stinks. They stink.”
Walker eventually entered the lobby of the Hall, claiming it was a public forum, before being asked to leave by the Hall’s security.
“I just got kicked out. I got kicked out for pointing out the truth,” Walker spoke on camera, finally exiting the building.
Before his one-man protest, Walker recently asked fans to cancel him before his upcoming release of Sex, Drugs & Country Music as a means to get “one step ahead” of listeners and deeming his new album inappropriate and offensive.
Walker will be embarking on his Wheeler Walker Jr.’s 2022 Comeback Tour on April 14th.
