“What’s Your Country Song” is a song by country star Thomas Rhett. It was released on November 11, 2020 as the lead single from his upcoming fifth studio album Country Again: Side A. Rhett wrote the song with Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure, Parker Welling, and his father, Rhett Akins; it was produced by Frasure and Dann Huff.
In a recent interview, Rhett explained the meaning behind the song: “We wrote this song on the road last year in Dallas, Texas.” “It’s really about how I was noticing that no matter where you live or where you’re from, everyone has a little bit of country inside their bones.”
The music video was released on November 14, 2020, directed by TK McKamy. The video is all about family and growing up in the countryside, complete with images of cornfields, picnics, and high school football games.
