It’s true that not much changes when it comes to fall trends: we still all love the cozy, earthy colors that reflect nature, and the natural textures that are the perfect companion to these tones. However, there are always new fall trends to intrigue.
As Homes and Gardens reports, interior design trends emerge to meet the demands we are making of our homes, fall decor ideas and design trends in 2023 are looking towards creating a cozy, warm home for friends and family to gather and relax together.
One of the noticeable trends for this autumn season is the Rebirth of Carpet.
“While wooden floors have been center stage in many homes in the recent past, we have seen patterned carpets become popular again,” says Jo Bailey, Editor, Homes & Gardens. “In particular, the patterns and colors that reflect nature are increasingly popular, but so too are those with bold patterns, with central motifs, as in the area rug above, and those with a hand-cut raised profile.”
Fall is all about warm hues and earthy tones, which is why it’s unsurprising that nature-inspired carpets remain ever-present in rug trends. As for area rugs with central motifs, not only do they add visual interest but also add structure to your room’s layout, creating a central focal point around which to position seating.
So go ahead and indulge in a large statement area rug, or even go wall-to-wall!
