Vince Vaughn celebrated a major milestone on Monday, August 12, as he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Wedding Crashers actor, 54, was joined by his wife Kyla and their two children, 13-year-old daughter Locklyn and 11-year-old son Vernon, for the special occasion.
The family, who rarely makes public appearances together, posed for photos on the iconic Hollywood sidewalk. Vaughn beamed with pride as Vernon held up his father’s plaque, showcasing the newly minted star.
During his acceptance speech, Vaughn expressed deep gratitude for his family’s support. “My beautiful wife Kyla, I’m so glad that you’re with me on this now,” he said. “I’m so grateful for you and these beautiful kids and for all the laughter that we share together.”
He playfully added, “As much as all this means, Vernon and Locklyn, you guys really do need to know that you are the most important thing in the world to me. You’re not as lucrative, and you don’t give me access to the kind of stuff that this kind of thing does, but with that all being said, you guys are the most important, and I love you very much.”
In a recent interview with The New York Times Magazine, Vaughn reflected on his role as a father, describing it as “such a joy” and noting that parenthood has made him “more empathetic, more patient,” and better equipped to encourage others.
Vaughn has previously shared his love of being a dad, telling E! News in 2013, “All kids bring their own joy, it’s a lot of fun. There’s nothing more fun than laughing and playing around with the kids.”
This heartwarming family moment marked a significant achievement in Vaughn’s career, with his loved ones by his side to celebrate.
