Vanessa Hudgens Criticizes Media for Invading Family’s Privacy After Birth of First Child

Vanessa Hudgens took to Instagram on Thursday to criticize the media for publishing photos revealing the birth of her first child. She expressed disappointment over the invasion of her family’s privacy as they left the hospital.

“We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media,” Hudgens wrote in an Instagram Story. TMZ had first reported the news of Hudgens’ baby’s arrival, publishing photos of the actress leaving the hospital with her husband, Cole Tucker, and their newborn.

Despite the intrusion, Hudgens reassured her followers that the family is doing well. “Despite all of that, mom, dad, and baby are happy and healthy,” she concluded.

Hudgens revealed her pregnancy on the red carpet at this year’s Academy Awards, where she was hosting The Oscars Red Carpet Show for the third consecutive year. She married Tucker, a Major League Baseball player, in December 2023.

The actress, known for her role in “High School Musical,” most recently appeared in “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. In May, she told E! News that she looks forward to sharing her acting work with her future children.

“That’s why I chose things along the way in my career,” Hudgens explained. “I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.”
