Usher Announces ‘My Way: 25th Anniversary Edition’ Alongside Mini Documentary

According to ratedrnb.com, Usher has announced a 25th anniversary edition of his sophomore album, My Way. The expanded edition will include all of the original tracks, reimagined versions of three tracks: “My Way (Ryan James Carr Remake),” “Nice & Slow (Ryan James Carr Remake)” and “You Make Me Wanna… (Ryan James Carr Remake).” Usher’s My Way (25th Anniversary Edition) will be available on all streaming platforms on Friday, September 16th. The Anniversary edition will also be available on vinyl, with the deluxe version pressed on 2LP 180G silver cloudy vinyl and will also be available in early 2023. The package will feature new album art, plus three additional reimagined tracks and a lyric and photo booklet.

Usher will also be premiering a mini-documentary on Friday to commemorate My Way. The documentary is directed by Dolapo Sangokoya, and will feature interviews with Usher, Jermaine Dupri, and Ryan James Carr. It will also contain behind the scenes footage of the making of the reimagined tracks, as well as archival footage of Usher from the albums time. The documentary will be watchable on Usher’s YouTube channel.

Originally released on September 16th, 1997, My Way recently gained certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. The album is now certified 7x multi-platinum, with more then seven million copies sold. My Way is on it way to diamond status with three million copies left to go, My Way is also Usher’s second most certified album, behind his already diamond certified album, Confessions.
