Tyler Childers Covers a John Prine Classic as Tribute to the Country Icon

Tyler Childers does justice to the late John Prine’s melancholic wit as he covers “Yes I Guess They Oughta Name a Drink After You” for the upcoming tribute record Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine, Vol. 2

Childers is a contemporary cornerstone on the album, saddled up amongst other Americana winners like Sturgill Simpson and Brandy Carlile, interpreting and commemorating the singer-songwriter’s undeniably influential legacy.

The 12-track tribute drops October 8th on Prine’s own Oh Boy Records, with Childers’ cover released as the third teaser track for the elusive project.
