The 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class was announced last week, and it included many deserving inductees. Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur and Yes will be enshrined at Barclays Center in New York this spring.

Pearl Jam and Tupac were admitted into the Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. Seattle born Pearl Jam consists of lead singer Eddie Vedder, Matt Cameron, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. Pearl Jam has sold over 35 million records, hitting the charts with 10 top 10 albums and 16 top 10 singles.
Tupac Shakur was born into a middle class well educated family in East Harlem New York, his parent’s active members of the Black Panther movement. Tupac began paying his dues as a dancer, and backup singer and roadie for the band ‘Digital Underground,’ before going solo. Tupac has sold over 20 million albums, breaking ground in Hip Hop as he traveled the world. As you may already know, Tupac was shot and killed at the age of 25.
