On Thursday, April 29th, Twenty One Pilots dropped a brand new single and music video for “Choker,” the second track from their forthcoming album Scaled And Icy. The song and visual dropped at the stroke of midnight on all digital music platforms, and is accompanied by a larger-than-life music video directed by Mark Eshleman and filmed in the alternative rockers’ hometown of Columbus, OH.
Scaled And Icy is scheduled to drop May 21 via Fueled By Ramen, and was written and largely produced by Joseph in isolation at his home due to the pandemic over the past year, with Dun engineering the drum tracks from across the country.
The videos sees frontman Tyler Joseph take a trip to a toy store where he locks horns with bandmate/shopkeeper Josh Dun in a fantastical battle. It’s the stuff that (strange) dreams are made of.
Twenty One Pilots will support the release with their very first global streaming concert, “Twenty One Pilots – Livestream Experience,” which will go live on May 21 at 8:00pm ET.
