Tuesday night gave basketball fans some exciting NBA matchups. Every game except one came down to the wire, as five different matchups were close wins.
The Phoenix Suns narrowly defeated the Toronto Raptors, 99-95. This low-scoring event featured excellent defense and clutch individual play from the entire Phoenix team. Another close game that showed incredible defense was the Los Angeles Clippers defeating the Denver Nuggets, 87-85.
The New Orleans Pelicans also fought a tough matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as they squeaked by, 128-125. The game was tied at 125 when Pelicans shooting forward Brandon Ingram made a last-second three-point shot to seal the victory.
The only blow-out of the night was the Chicago Bulls defeating the Detroit Pistons, 133-87, in a make-up game that was initially postponed from December 14th.
Finally, the Golden State Warriors were upset by the Memphis Grizzlies, as the Grizzlies won, 116-108. Star point guard Ja Morant had 29 points and eight assists for Memphis in their Tuesday night victory.
