In basketball news, there were many exciting games on Tuesday night.
One of the major games featured the Los Angeles Lakers defeating the Brooklyn Nets, 106-96, thanks to shooting forward LeBron James’ 33 points for the Lakers.
The Golden State Warriors won their third consecutive game after defeating the Dallas Mavericks, 130-92.
Finally, the Philadelphia 76ers soared past the New Orleans Pelicans, 117-107, thanks to center Joel Embiid’s 42 points,
In baseball news, legendary designated hitter David Ortiz was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday afternoon, as the only inductee in 2022. Ortiz began his career with the Seattle Mariners, then rose to stardom with the Minnesota Twins before moving on to his most successful stint with the Boston Red Sox before retiring in 2016.
While Ortiz made it into Cooperstown, some controversial players did not. Most notably, left-fielder Barry Bonds and pitcher Roger Clemens due to their known steroid use.
