Trace Adkins to Headline 2025 Downtown Country Jam

Country music enthusiasts, mark your calendars for August 9, 2025, as Fort Dodge welcomes the renowned Trace Adkins to the Downtown Country Jam. Known for chart-toppers like “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” Adkins brings his rich baritone and dynamic stage presence to Central Avenue and Ninth Street.

With a career spanning nearly three decades, Adkins has sold over 11 million albums and boasts 40 singles on the country charts. His debut album, “Dreamin’ Out Loud,” featured hits such as “Every Light in the House” and the No. 1 single “This Ain’t (No Thinkin’ Thing).” Beyond his musical achievements, Adkins claimed victory on the 2013 edition of “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.”

Joining Adkins on stage is local talent Jared Benson, a Fort Dodge native with an album titled “Save My Soul” available on iTunes. Benson’s ensemble includes Alex Trevino on guitar, Claudia Coltrain on fiddle and vocals, Mason O’Brien on bass, and Jake Rossow on drums and vocals. Additionally, The Boys, a southeastern Iowa band led by brothers Adam and Lee Klett, will perform, showcasing tracks from their recent album “Seeing Double.”

Tickets go on sale February 21 at ticketweb.com, starting at $40 and increasing to $50 on July 21. Children 12 and under can attend for free when accompanied by an adult. For the first time, the event introduces a VIP Experience and Lounge for sponsors, offering amenities like canopy cover, seating, table service, and complimentary food and beverages.
