The wait is finally over for Tool fans. On Wednesday, May 1st, the L.A.-based rock band took to Twitter to tease a photo of themselves and suggest new music may be featured on their upcoming tour.
The silly post shows the four members of the group, Danny Carey, Adam Jones, Maynard James Keenan and Justin Chancellor, each with their own cartoon-like thought bubble. Tool vocalist Keenan is shown looking off to the side with his thought reading, “Feelin cute. Might play some new material on this upcoming tour. idk.”
The band’s last album, 10,000 days, was released 13 years. So it’s safe to say it’s been a long time coming for fans of the legendary rockers. The informal announcement comes just days before Tool hits the road for their U.S. tour, beginning in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 5.
