Tony Iommi to Reissue Solo Albums Featuring Glenn Hughes This Fall

Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi is reissuing two of his solo albums this fall, both featuring Deep Purple bassist Glenn Hughes. The albums, The 1996 DEP Sessions and Fused, will be available on vinyl for the first time on October 4. Additionally, they will be released on CD and digitally, with the digital version of Fused including three bonus tracks: “Slip Away,” “Let it Down Easy,” and “The Innocence.”

To celebrate the announcement, Iommi has released a new lyric video for “Gone,” the opening track from The 1996 DEP Sessions, and made “Savior of the Real” from Fused available on digital platforms.

Both albums are currently available for preorder.

Originally recorded in 1996, the songs on The 1996 DEP Sessions were initially known to fans as the bootleg Eighth Star. The album officially saw the light of day in September 2004. Iommi followed this release with Fused in 2005, marking his second solo album.
