Tom Holland has officially been cast to portray Fred Astaire in an upcoming Sony Biopic about the legendary actor, dancer, and singer.
According to Sony, the project is in its early stages—so much so that Holland has yet to even look at the script.
“The script came in a week ago,” Holland told reporters. “I haven’t read it yet; they haven’t given it to me.”
The 25-year-old Spider-Man star has shown an impressive resume to fill Astaire’s dancing shoes, as Holland began his career acting on the London stage as Billy Elliot on the West End from 2008 to 2010.
