Tim McGraw Cancels Colorado Show Amid Recovery From Back Surgery

Country music icon Tim McGraw has been forced to bow out of an upcoming Colorado concert as he continues to recover from recent back surgery.

McGraw was scheduled to headline the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Last Cowboy Standing event on July 21 in Fort Collins. However, organizers confirmed this week that he will not perform due to health concerns. Stepping in to fill his boots are country rock favorites Cross Canadian Ragweed, reuniting to deliver what organizers promise will be an “unforgettable night.”

“We’re sending our very best to Tim for a quick recovery and hope to see him at a future PBR event,” the statement read.

McGraw, 57, has been candid about his ongoing health battles. On a podcast appearance earlier this year, he revealed undergoing double knee replacements, multiple back surgeries, and dealing with a torn rotator cuff and ruptured disc. Despite the challenges, McGraw remains committed to his fitness and music career, though he admits, “Everything I do has to be methodical.”

Fans with tickets to the Fort Collins event can request refunds through Colorado State University. Meanwhile, Jon Pardi remains on the bill for July 22, keeping the music — and the rodeo — rolling.
