Bad Company is still touring today, 42 years this past June from their birth, the release of their self-proclaimed first album. Here are three things you didn’t know about ‘Bad Company.’
Peter Grant was managing another band when he reluctantly agreed to be Bad Company’s first manager; he was going to put their 1st tour together, get them signed to record deal, grabbed the money and then split. He was floored when he heard them live, realizing he was going to be richer than he had ever imagined. Oh, Peter was managing Led Zeppelin at the time.
Bad Company is out on tour now with the Black Crowes’ Rich Robinson replacing Mick Ralphs. They are touring with Joe Walsh.
Brian Howe took over lead vocals with the departure of Paul Rogers. Most people don’t know he was coming off the same gig with Ted Nugent, showcasing his talents in Nugent’s “Penetrator” album.
