According to npr.org, finalists in the kids and teens categories have been selected, and now online voters are finishing up their votes as they have the chance to pick who wins the champion mullet before the polls close this Friday. Organizers have said that the contest has been able to grow from being a local competition in Michigan in 2020 to becoming a national event. Contestants of the contest must pay a $10 fee in order to take part. According to CBS, “all of the donations are going to the Michigan Wig Foundation for kids,” with first place winners receiving a $2,500 prize for their efforts.
