1962 – “Love Me Do” by the Beatles was released in the U.K. It was their first single.

1968 – Cream began their farewell tour of the U.S.

1968 – “White Room” by Cream was released.

1968 – “Magic Carpet Ride” was released by Steppenwolf.

1969 – The Who performed on “The Ed Sullivan Show.”

1970 – Led Zeppelin’s album “Led Zeppelin III” was released.

1974 – Randy Newman performed with an 87-piece symphony at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. The orchestra was conducted by Emil Newman, Randy’s uncle.

1975 – “Cat’s in the Cradle” was released by Harry Chapin.
