1969 – Anita Bryant and the Letterman appeared at a “Rally For Decency” in Miami following Jim Morrison’s indecent exposure onstage there.
1973 – Yoko Ono was granted permission to live in the U.S. permanently.
1971 – John Lennon was ordered to leave the U.S. within 60 days by immigration authorities. This was the beginning of his long fight to stay in the country. The reason given for the deportation was related to his 1968 conviction for possession of marijuana in England.
1978 – The Police signed with A&M Records.
1979 – Van Halen released the album “Van Halen II.”
