Girl Scout cookie season is already set to look different in 2021 with an emphasis on online sales for safety purposes. We all love our Thin Mints and Samoas, so it’s good to know we’ll still be able to pick up some boxes to enjoy at home. But if you just can’t wait for cookie season, there are now Girl Scout cupcakes that will satisfy your sweet tooth in the meantime.
There are actually quite a few Girl Scout items you can buy at the grocery store (like coffee K-cups based on the cookies) but these cupcakes look like a new way to enjoy the familiar flavors. Instagram’s @Dadbodsnacks spotted lemon and thin mint cupcakes with the iconic Girl Scouts logo on the packaging at his local Italian grocery store, so it’s unclear if these are widely available at chain stores.
The cupcakes come in a bright yellow lemon flavor with yellow and white sprinkles (like the Lemon-Ups and Lemonades – my personal favorites) and a Thin Mint-inspired version that has cookie crumbles on the frosting. Each package comes with 12 bite-sized cupcakes and would be perfect to wash down with some of that Girl Scout caramel delight coffee.
This sweet discovery is even more indication that even though cookie season will be different this year it will still be special, so you better start clearing up some room in your pantry. Between these cupcakes and the news of the new French toast cookie…you’re gonna need as much spare space as you can get.
