Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards made an expensive mistake on Saturday night against the Indiana Pacers. The forward chose to push an official, and is now having to pay a $25,000 fine, as announced by the NBA on Monday. The incident took place with 8:26 remaining in the third quarter of the Wizards’ 127-113 victory.
While Beal was attempting to intercept a pass, he landed and pushed off of the official. The veteran was given a technical foul in the game, which costs in itself, $2,000. Beal is currently averaging 22.8 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game so far this season.
Meanwhile, Washington currently ranks 9th in the Eastern Conference with their 26-30 record. Making them five games behind the Miami Heat for the sixth seed.
