The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears” is Still Topping Charts

“Save Your Tears” is a song by  the Weeknd for his fourth studio album After Hours. The Weeknd wrote and produced the song with producers Max Martin and Oscar Holter, with Belly and Jason Quenneville receiving additional writing credits. The record was met with universal acclaim. A remix of the song by Oneohtrix Point Never was officially released alongside the deluxe edition of its parent album on March 23, 2020.

“Save Your Tears” reached the top five in nineteen countries. The song was released as the album’s fourth single on August 9, 2020 in Europe. It impacted US radio on November 24, 2020. It is the official theme song of WrestleMania 37.

Following the release of its parent album, “Save Your Tears” debuted at number 41 on the US Billboard Hot 100, dated April 4, 2020. Following its release as an official single in the US, the song reached a new peak at number 14 on the chart, for the week dated February 6, 2021, becoming the 4th consecutive top-20 single for After Hours.

In the singer’s native country of Canada, “Save Your Tears” reached number 46 on the Canadian Hot 100 following its parent album’s release. After its release as a single, it peaked at number 2, becoming the third top-five hit from the album.

The official music video for “Save Your Tears” was first teased by the singer as being on its way through his social media platforms on January 4, 2021. Its release then occurred the following day on January 5, 2021.
